Official Service Agreement
These Terms and Conditions set out the legally binding agreement between WasteRound Ltd and any customer booking waste collection, clearance, or recycling services through wasteround.co.uk, telephone, or email.
★ Agreement Overview & Company Details
These Terms and Conditions (the "Terms") govern all bookings made with WASTEROUND LTD ("WasteRound", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales under Company Number 17425036.
Registered Office: 74 Uxendon Hill, Wembley, HA9 9SL, England.
Official Email: enquiries@wasteround.co.uk
Operational Telephone: +44 7990 270937
We may update these Terms periodically by publishing the amended version on this website. The version in effect at the exact time of placing your booking will apply to that collection job.
Who These Terms Apply To:
- Consumer: An individual making a booking for private residential use or personal disposal, not in the course of any trade or commercial enterprise. Consumers benefit from statutory consumer cancellation rights under UK law (detailed in Clause 5.1).
- Business Customer: Any company, partnership, sole trader, commercial facility, landlord, or agent booking waste services in connection with a commercial property or trade activity.
1 Service Provision & Quotations
1.1 Initial Quotation Accuracy: All quotes provided via our online basket, phone dispatch, or email are formulated based on the information, volume estimates, item counts, and site access details provided by the Customer. If upon arrival the waste volume, weight, or hazardous nature differs materially from what was booked, our crew will provide an adjusted quote for your agreement prior to commencing work. If agreement is not reached, we reserve the right to decline collection.
1.2 Item Dismantling: Items that exceed standard residential doorframes, hallways, or narrow stairwells must be dismantled by the Customer prior to the arrival of our two-man crew. WasteRound is not liable for structural property damage resulting from customer failure to prepare oversized items for safe egress.
1.3 Arrival Time Windows: Arrival windows (e.g. 2-hour morning or afternoon slots) are honest operational targets. Actual arrival times may be influenced by London traffic conditions, major road closures, or previous customer overruns outside our control. Our dispatch team will keep you informed by SMS or phone if delays occur.
1.4 Customer Presence: The Customer or a designated responsible adult must be present at the site, or provide clear written key access instructions. If our crew arrives within the scheduled slot and cannot gain access after reasonable attempts, a wasted journey charge may apply.
2 Health, Safety & Site Access
2.1 Safe Access: Customers must ensure clear, unobstructed, and well-lit access pathways from the waste location to our vehicle parking spot. Any structural defects, steep slippery slopes, weak loft boards, or aggressive animals must be notified to us in advance.
2.2 Zero Harassment Policy: Our collection crews have the absolute right to work in an environment free from verbal abuse, threats, physical violence, or harassment. We reserve the right to abort work immediately if staff safety is compromised.
2.3 Dangerous & Sharp Objects: Broken glass, Stanley knife blades, syringes, or protruding nails must be securely packaged in puncture-proof, clearly labelled containers before collection. Never leave loose sharps in plastic refuse sacks.
3 Restricted & Hazardous Materials
Unless explicitly agreed in writing in advance with specialist handling terms, the following materials are strictly classified as Restricted Items and will not be collected:
| Restricted Category | Examples of Excluded Items | Regulatory Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Fibrous Minerals | Raw or bonded asbestos, insulation boarding | Control of Asbestos Regs 2012 |
| Clinical & Biohazard | Needles, pharmaceutical waste, human/animal tissues | Hazardous Waste Regulations |
| Volatile Chemicals | Petrol, diesel, engine oils, industrial solvents, acids | COSHH & Environmental Protection Act |
| Pressurised Vessels | LPG gas cylinders, butane bottles, fire extinguishers | Explosion Hazard / Health & Safety Exec |
Undisclosed Hazardous Waste Notice
If undisclosed hazardous substances are found concealed within general refuse bags on site, our team will stop work immediately. The Customer remains liable for all costs incurred and statutory environmental reporting obligations.
4 Pricing, Invoicing & VAT Status
4.1 Transparent Quotations: All quotes include two-man loading labour, sweeping up upon completion, and compliant transport to a licensed transfer station.
4.2 VAT Status: WasteRound Ltd is not currently VAT registered; therefore, no VAT is added to consumer or business prices. If our registration status changes, customers will be notified transparently.
4.3 Weight Allowances: Van load bookings carry generous weight allowances (up to 1,000 kg for Full Luton loads). Heavy dense inert materials (e.g. soil, hardcore, brick rubble, wet tiles) that exceed standard volume allowances are priced on a weight matrix to comply with UK Gross Vehicle Weight regulations.
4.4 Payment Terms: Payment is due upon booking or completion of collection via secure card checkout, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or bank transfer, unless the customer holds an approved commercial credit account. Late commercial balances are subject to a £45 admin fee and statutory interest.
5 Cancellation & Postponement Policy
5.1 Consumer Statutory 14-Day Cancellation Right: If you are booking as a Consumer for personal residential services, UK Consumer Contracts Regulations grant you the right to cancel within 14 calendar days of booking without giving reason. If you expressly request our crew to collect within that 14-day period, this right expires once the collection service has been completed.
5.2 Standard Cancellation Notice: For general bookings outside the statutory right, we request a minimum of 48 hours' notice by email (enquiries@wasteround.co.uk) to cancel a scheduled van slot. Because collection slots are reserved exclusively, cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice are non-refundable.
5.3 Postponement Policy: We are pleased to postpone and reschedule your first booking free of charge, provided we receive at least 24 hours' notice prior to the arrival window.
5.4 Parking & Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs): It is the Customer's responsibility to arrange legal vehicle access or visitor parking permits for our 3.5-tonne Luton vans. Any parking fines incurred due to inadequate or unlawful parking instructions provided by the Customer will be charged to the booking.
6 Waste Transfer Notes & Legal Duty of Care
Under Section 34 of the Environmental Protection Act 1990 and the Environmental Protection (Duty of Care) Regulations:
- Every collection is accompanied by a digital or physical Waste Transfer Note (WTN) detailing the date, European Waste Catalogue (EWC) codes, quantities, and our Environment Agency carrier credentials.
- Both WasteRound Ltd and the Customer are required by law to retain copies of Waste Transfer Notes for a minimum of two (2) years.
- This documentation is your official legal proof that your waste was transferred to a registered carrier, protecting you against municipal fly-tipping fines of up to £5,000.
7 Limitation of Liability
7.1 Excluded Indirect Losses: WasteRound Ltd is not liable for loss of business profit, loss of revenue, anticipated savings, loss of contract, or indirect consequential loss resulting from a collection booking.
7.2 Liability Cap: Subject to statutory requirements, WasteRound Ltd’s total financial liability under contract, tort (including negligence), or statutory duty shall not exceed the total fees paid by the Customer for the relevant booking.
7.3 Statutory Exclusions: Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence, fraud, or fraudulent misrepresentation. Your statutory consumer rights remain fully intact.
8 Property Damage Reporting Protocol
Our crews exercise the highest degree of care when manoeuvring heavy items through properties. However, in the rare event of accidental damage:
- Immediate Notification: The Customer must point out any property damage to our crew leader before they depart the site, and note it on the digital collection sign-off.
- 24-Hour Backstop: Where damage is not immediately visible, written notification accompanied by timestamped photographs must be submitted to enquiries@wasteround.co.uk within 24 hours of collection completion. Claims received beyond 24 hours cannot be verified and cannot be accepted.
9 Governing Law & Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them, are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales. Both parties submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
